What was the highlight of Xixim Mundo Imperial Wellness All Inclusive
Awesome
Really cool hotel where you feel part of nature. The beach was stunning, as was the flamingo tour through the mangroves. Would recommend! The staff are so sweet, one waiter was teaching us Mayan and they all seem to have fun with the guests. Everyone is smiles and welcomes. The shower was really funky too, you're right in the jungle under a lush "rainfall" showerhead.
The mosquito net doesn't fit all around the bed and I found a couple of mosquitoes inside the netting. We both ended up with a few bites.

Xixim is located in a wonderful biosphere reserve
The bungalows privacy and location of the property is extraordinary. I like the eco concept and the offering of Yoga classes to facilitate the relaxing mood in the middle of nowhere.
It was high season and the personnel was not enough to cover all hotel needs. Although all employees were doing their best to provide great service, I think they were exhausted after 2 weeks working full day. I want to recognize the effort from everybody but want to bring attention to management to organize better specially in peak seasons.

What was the highlight of Xixim Mundo Imperial Wellness All Inclusive
Frustrating. Could be amazing with some investment in staff training and some updating.
Our master suite was spacious and comfortable. Think old time luxury. We had a view of the ocean and a lovely outdoor seating area to watch dolphins, birds and insects. No Wi-Fi or cellular access in rooms so a great place to relax and switch off. The yoga room is amazing and the meditation/yoga teacher is very accomplished and fluent in Spanish and English. The walk along the beach is endless and deserted for miles. Thank you to Ulysses who took it upon himself to try to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Unfortunately we arrived on a bad day. New Years Eve. No restaurant service except the special dinner which was highly overpriced and not vegetarian friendly. Most of the staff did not come in on New Years Day so the promised morning coffee in the room did not appear, but no one told us this was the case. We ordered lunch and that took 3 hours due to the skeleton staff who were very hard working and trying hard to please under very difficult circumstances. Some of the food we eventually received was very tasty, some not so great. Beach furniture needs some TLC and really there are not enough cabanas for everyone. Lots of mosquitoes, to be expected due to the remote location but it would have been nice to not have had them in the yoga studio. Check the screens for holes! Poor communication. No information available such as menus, Wi-Fi passwords, events such as yoga, how to borrow canoes. Everything required asking a member of staff who may or may not know the answer. We really wanted to love this place but ended up being disappointed.
